2026 Virtual Learning Sessions
November - Part 1: Beyond Good Enough, How Culture Shapes Performance When It Matters Most
Denise Amber Lee Foundation
About the Event
November 2026 SESSION
Great performance in 9-1-1 doesn’t happen by accident—it grows from the culture that surrounds the people who answer the call. “Beyond Good Enough” examines how communication center culture directly influences performance, accountability, resilience, and the overall quality of service delivered during critical moments.
This session explores the subtle yet powerful ways culture shapes how telecommunicators make decisions, handle stress, support one another, and engage with the communities they serve. Participants will take a close look at the factors that build (or erode) strong workplace culture: expectations, trust, communication styles, leadership behaviors, peer influence, and shared values. Through practical examples and real-world application, this training highlights how shifting from a “good enough” mindset to a culture of excellence can transform performance—when it matters most.

– Strengthen accountability and professional standards across the team
