AJ Darby is the Senior Communication Officer & Public Education Officer at Roswell 911 PSAP in Georgia. She is also a member of the North Fulton SWAT Team as a negotiator. Previously AJ was a member of the volunteer Fire Rescue in Virginia and worked at a Children’s Hospital in the PCU/PICU units while specializing in burn trauma.

AJ left public safety and spent 17 years in the private sector as a national trainer for a Fortune 100 company. Upon AJ’s return to public safety, she found a sizable gap between 911 operations and the public’s understanding of 911. At Roswell she created an Outreach division that specializes in teaching the public, of all ages and backgrounds, about 911 and what to expect when they must make that call.

AJ is passionate about creating and maintaining a positive culture within the PSAPs as well as bringing the public into our arena for better understanding.
